Description
You take on the role of an adorable monster chef in a unique culinary journey. With a food truck as your mobile base, you'll travel to various locations, from deserts to bustling cities, catering to a monstrous clientele.
You'll need to quickly prepare and serve orders before you become the next meal!
Prepare dishes that defy conventional taste standards, using exotic creatures found in each location you visit. Hunting rats on the street, pigeons in the square, or cockroaches in the sewers are just a few of the activities that await you.
With skill and precision, chop, fry, bake, and cook these bizarre ingredients in your mobile kitchen, equipped with a variety of utensils and equipment.
As you progress through the levels, your food truck will expand, offering new equipment to tackle increasingly challenging tasks. With 20 levels spread across 4 different settings, each with its own immersive atmosphere and a customized vehicle.
History
The idea for this game came from a Game Jam I participated in, where the theme was "Eat this before it eats you."
I created a game where you controlled a monster managing a restaurant. Your customers were giant monsters who could devour you if not served quickly, and I ended up placing second in that Game Jam! This made me extremely happy and confident.
That was the last Game Jam I participated in before starting to develop and publish my own games. The first game I published was RoboSync, which I made entirely on my own. However, when it came to creating the artwork for Steam, I got in touch with a friend who is an illustrator. He did the artwork for RoboSync, and we agreed that we would work together on the next project.
As soon as RoboSync was released, we started discussing the next project and decided to build on the restaurant game idea I had for the Game Jam. We changed the concept to be a food truck instead of a restaurant, giving us the freedom to explore different settings.
Within a few weeks of development, we had a prototype to present, and that's how we managed to partner with the publisher GoGo Games Interactive.
Since then, we've had the opportunity to showcase Monster Meals at live events and online demonstrations. It has been extremely well-received by everyone who played and enjoyed the demo.
